Lauderdale County and Anderson Regional Hospital have created a partnership in which county employees can be seen for medical care with no co-pay cost.
Doctor visits often come with a price to feel better. Insurance helps but paying nothing really makes a difference and county employees are happy about this.
“So many dollars go in with co-pay with different dollars. I believe that this program will save us money,” said Theresa Bell, County worker.
Twenty dollars spent on co-pay for dependents also gets costly, but this is something county employees won’t have to worry about.
“We do have to pay co-pay whenever we take our children to the doctor’s office and that will save us dollars as well,” said Theresa Bell, County worker.
Open enrollment will begin in June and employees hope to schedule appointments as soon as possible.
“If this program is guided strictly towards Lauderdale County employees then we should be in that office in a timely manner and we won’t have to miss much at work,” said Theresa Bell, County worker.
Full-time and part-time employees that are covered in the group health care policy are covered.
“It will still be a great benefit for the employees because we are a part of the economy,” said Theresa Bell, County worker.
