The Pearl River Resort Casino in Philadelphia is restocking shelves at local charitable organizations.
Since December, players at the casino have donated non- perishable food items and monetary donations inside the poker room.
This year marks the 5th anniversary to host the drive. Three thousand dollars was collected in cash donations.
“We do it to give back to the community and the reservation at large. If it wasn’t for the community at large we wouldn’t have this place to work at. This is a way for us to give back to them,” said Brandon Campbell, poker room manger.
Over 500 canned goods were donated and will be distributed to the Methodist Mission Organization.
