Members of The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department have full stomachs thanks to some generosity.
Members at The Trinity Lutheran Church prepared and served them a meal.
As sheriff deputies entered the church, they were surprised by the generosity and menu.
Officers were thankful for the mashed potatoes, green beans, and steak that was prepared for them.
“It’s always wonderful when the community wants to recognize the men and women of the department,” said Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun, Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department.
“They work for us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week keeping us safe and we thought we could just do something even so small as giving them lunch for a day or two,” said Kelly Miller, congregational president.
The luncheon lasted from noon until 1-PM and there was a large turnout.
