Students At Quitman High School Give Back

It's going to be a warm winter for some deserving kids thanks to some classmates.

The students are members of the family career and community leaders of America.
this project is for their star event in which students do an act of service for the community.

“We actually picked Coats for Clarke Kids, because we see a need for it honestly in our community when we come to school and we see some of our class mates that are just in like, a t-shirt or in long sleeve.” , said student Taniya Davis.

Taniya Davis says this is the perfect time for a coat drive.

“Before Christmas, so when they come back from Christmas break or it can even be their holiday gift”, said Taniya.

Student Hannah Manning shares that she is glad to help others in her community.

“I think it will make me feel good to know that I’m helping somebody that really needs it”, said Hannah Manning.

They will accept donations for Coats for Clarke Kids until December 18th, new and gently used coats can be dropped off at Quitman Highschool, Clarke County career center, and First Baptist Church Quitman.
