We’re all famliar with Black Friday and Cyber Monday. But smack dab in the middle is Small Business Saturday.
Small Business Saturday is an opportunity for you to support local businesses in Meridian.
The holidays always brings a wave a sales, but there is a way for you to give back to the Meridian community by shopping on Small Business Saturday.
“Local businesses are the lifeblood of any city and to being that we live in meridian we definitely want to support our city. The big boxes, they’re corporate and all the money goes out town, whenever you shop local money flows in the city a lot longer”, said Wayne Williams, Owner of Meridian Underground Music.
“ People should support local business because the people that own local businesses they’re your neighbors, the people you go to church with, they’re the people if you need something quick they’re there to help you anytime, anyday that they’re open and we’re all just family and friends in our community”, said Carol Touchstone, Owner of Twisted T Western & More.
The community has been known to be supportive of small business and the local businesses look forward to the additional support on Saturday.
“ Meridian’s been really good to us so far. We’re trying to get our word out more and more. Of course we run specials on Friday and then Saturday we will, so I believe it will bring more people in”, said Vicky Schumm, Manager of Your CBD Store Meridian.
Owner Wayne Williams says that not only does he encourage buying small, he does it himself.
“Whenever somebody spends money with us we have a policy, my wife and I, that we spend with other local business owners instead of big boxes”, said Williams.
Small Business Saturday always falls on the last Saturday of November
