THIS PAST WEEKEND BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA OF THE CHOCTAW AREA HAD THEIR ANNUAL CAMPOUT AT CAMP BINACHI.
“Today’s our annual fall family camp. We call it spook-a-ree, its always around halloween and we just have a great time. This is where we deliver the promise of scouting, where families come together and get to camp in the outdoors, with a lot of fun activities. They’ll be doing obstacle course and BB guns, and slingshots, and bows and arrows, and all kinds of fun adventure, costume contests. Our theme this year as you can see is DC vs Marvel”, states Ken Kercheval, Coctaw Area Council BSA Scout Executive.
BENJHAMAN SUDDUTH: “I’ve been here for three years, and I love boy scouts, its so amazing. My favorite part is the cool activities, the marshmallows, of course the marshmallows, and sleeping in the tents, and also having fun with my friends and family!”
KERCHEVAL: "This is my twelfth time to do this event. We’re having a great time, it is important to deliver the promise of scouting. To get families together, to get them to put their phones down, to pay attention to their kids, and the kids see me with their parents and just have that amazing family time, and be in the outdoors, where it’s beautiful”.
