The Meridian Public-School District is launching what’s called a Parent University.
The school district is partnering with Bonita Lake Malls to give parents pointers on physical fitness, food preparation, and financial management. Each school in the district will be represented.
“This is going to benefit the parents in ways of empowering them not just from a physical or superficial standpoint. We’re hoping to get into the lives of families to help build for generations to come,” said Adrian Cross, parent engagement specialist.
The workshop kicks off October 15th from 3 to 7 pm at Bonita Lakes Mall near Belk.
