The children of Anderson oncologist were running a lemonade stand. Money raised from the lemonade stand will go towards the benevolence fund to assist cancer patients by covering treatments, medication, and other expenses.
Physician wives set up a lemonade stand outside the Anderson Regional Cancer Center in Meridian to raise money for cancer patients.
“This would benefit them in wonderful ways, it’s hard enough to be a cancer patient and just having to go through chemo and radiation but just having donations for gas money to just get to and from the treatments, and electricity that you cant afford. Treatments are very expensive anyway, but to have an extra benefit from the benevolence fund is just a blessing,” said Amanda Cassell.
