The Wesley House Community Center is in need of donations

After giving generously for The Fourth of July, The Wesley House Community Center in Meridian now has a shortage of food,

The center is seeing an increase in the number of people needing food bags. They are giving out a total of 450 bags throughout the month.

Center leaders do expect to fill the shelves with more food.

They urge anyone who can help to donate food.

“This summer we’ve had volunteer groups come in, youth groups come in or work groups that have donated their time volunteered their time to come and we’ll have them make up a hundred or hundred and fifty bags at one time so that we have enough to get through the week, it takes the strain off of our staff,” said Rev. David Schultz.
