Inmate escapes from Choctaw County, Alabama

June 10, 2019

CHOCTAW, Ala. - Authorities with the Choctaw county Sheriff's Department are searching for an inmate who jumped the fence at the Choctaw County Jail.

27-year-old Lamarion Demetrius Alston, of East St. Louis, Illinois, jumped the front fence at approximately at 7:30 p.m. last night and ran on foot toward Riderwood Drive. Alston is described as a black male, 5 foot 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds.

He was last seen in a gray shirt and black pants and has several tattoos on his face.

Sheriff Scott Lolley says Alston did sustain cuts somewhere on his body while jumping the fence.

He was arrested in April 2019 for robbery in the first degree in Demopolis, Alabama.
