Anderson Would Healing and Hyperbaric Center celebrated with Mayor Percy Bland as he declared June 3rd-7th Wound Care Awareness Week. The Center has been in Meridian for seventeen years now, and they treat chronic, non-healing wounds such as diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, and internal wounds from radiation treatments. Nearly seven million Americans suffer from chronic wounds, and the Center here in Meridian treats patients with the latest technology, such as their Hyperbaric chambers.
"You get into this pressurized chamber, the pressure is greater than normal, and it supplies the body with 100% oxygen. One-hundred percent oxygen is what heals the wounds,” said the Center’s program director, Libbi Trawick. Trawick said you do not need a physician referral to be treated at Anderson Wound Healing and Hypercbaric Center. To find out more information, call their office at 601-703-5200.
