Today in Meridian, the community came out in support of The National Community Action Day.
Several non-profit organizations such as The Multi County Community Agency in Meridian along with other agencies were on-site.
There were bounce houses and food vendors but primarily the event was designed to inform the public about assistance provided through the agencies.
“Our agency serves nine counties, we have Clarke, Kemper, Jasper, Lauderdale,Newton Neshoba, Scott, Smith, and Wayne, and today; all agencies came here.” Said Teresa Grice,community service coordinator.
“We welcome our cliental to show them the appreciation we have for coming to us for us being able to serve them.” Said Marci Ann Reynolds, program director.
