Northeast High School Principal Tim Moore is excited about his new role he recently accepted for The Lauderdale County School District.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to be the athletic director, transportation director for The Lauderdale County School District. I’m very grateful that Dr. Cain and the school board have given me the opportunity to serve the people of Lauderdale County. In this position we’re looking forward to doing some great things.” Said Tim Moore, Northeast High School principal.

Moore brings a lot of experience to the table having worked in school administration, but also has a passion for sports.

“I played football, basketball here in high school; I also ran track. I graduated from Northeast Lauderdale in 1981, I played football at East Central Mississippi Community College.” Said Tim Moore, Northeast High School principal.

Moore will now carry on new job responsibilities that will benefit sports throughout The Lauderdale County School District.

“My role is to work with the current athletic directors that are on each campus, to make sure that; you know they’re getting the support they need so they can do the best job they can and some of the things that I’ll have time to do that maybe they don’t have time to do.” Said Tim Moore, Northeast High School principal.

Moore says it is a bittersweet moment leaving behind his old role as principal which carried out for six years in the school district.

“I have always been in a position where I worked with students; you know, and I’ll miss that aspect of it somewhat: but at the same time this offers a new challenge in my career.” Said Tim Moore, Northeast High School principal.
