Meridian Housing Authority holds annual scholarship luncheon



 One high school graduate  now has $60,000 to put toward college. 


   Sa-French Terry, won the Janelle Kid hope scholarship and will get to apply that money for her continuing education.



She was recognized during The Meridian Housing Authority's annual scholar’s recognition luncheon.


   This luncheon honors high school graduates that are residents of The Meridian Public Housing community.


"Meridian Public-School District is one of our major supporters and partners, we work in conjunction with the school district in offering these scholarships to deserving seniors from Meridian High.” Said Ronald Turner Sr. MHA executive director.


"We need them to be the generation next generation of leaders who are going to carry their community, carry their torch who’s going to change the world and change the statistics.”

Said James Carter keynote speaker.
