TJ Harris Elementary launches "Lead in me imitative"

Children At T-J Harris Elementary painted a mural in the cafeteria to encourage students to partake in "The Leader In Me" initiative which will begin in August.

The "Leader In Me" consists of traits that will help make the students more effective people.

Students are encouraged to follow the key concepts and will see them posted on the mural each day they have lunch in the cafeteria.

“We came together after school for a professional development meeting, we came in here and collaborated and everybody had a part in making the wall a complete masterpiece.” Said Alexia Summerlin TJ Harris kindergarten teacher.

“We want to focus on each child taking ownership of their grades, the data and finding the leadership in each child; we know that each child on campus has the potential to be a leader.” Said  Ashley Hays, TJ Harris kindergarten teacher.
