“Education is one of those positions where your kind of in your classroom and you don’t get that recognition of often as you like, there’s not a specific goal or a specific ranking you know and even those rankings are kind of difficult because it’s based on that individual class.” Said Melisa Bankston, Northeast Elementary teacher.
In honor teacher appreciation week, faculty and staff at have not gone unnoticed at Northeast Elementary School.
“I think education is something that really demands everybody; I think you know when it comes to children: It’s not just one family’s child, it’s all of our kids.” Said Northpark Church. Pastor Ben Stears,
Appreciation week happens annually, and so far: the administration is pleased by the love and support given.
“We are so glad to have a special time set aside to really recognize our staff, while it’s teacher appreciation week, we have really focused on our entire staff because it takes everybody working together, and so we have been very blessed by multiple community organizations; mostly churches.” Said Lisa Shelly, Northeast Elementary principal.
The school is even giving back as a way of saying thanks.
“We’re showing appreciation for our moms, and so we’re doing muffins for moms, We do a different grade each morning, and we just want to show support and thanks to our moms for all they do.” Said Lisa Shelly, Northeast Elementary principal.
