Personnel with The Mississippi Children's Museums stops by Clarkdale Elementary

Elementary students are learning how to get heart smart.

Today, at The Clarkdale Attendance Center, representatives with  The Mississippi Children’s Museum in Jackson educated students about maintaining a healthy diet and how arteries and veins will function in the body.

Students also learned about the benefits of good sleep habits and having plenty of exercises.

“They need the actual physical thing there, so they can look at it and interact with it instead of just reading from a book or having someone read them the information; they get a better understanding of it if they can see something and go through the motions as if why it works.” Said  Phillip Weisenberger,Education Coordinator
