Mississippi Children's Museum launches "Take Flight initiative.

MERIDIAN, Miss (WGBC) - The Mississippi Children’s Museum is continuing to raise funds to build the future satellite campus here in Meridian.Officials announced they have started a "Take Flight" challenge movement to help bring in funds from the community.


The future Mississippi Children’s Museum will feature a 20-thousand square foot facility that will have exhibits centered around literacy arts, steam and much more.


 Organizers say this museum will not only provide new learning opportunities for children in Meridian, but also surrounding counties.


“We are starting today with our challenge and we’re going to go until September or until we reach a million dollars.” Said Christena Brown-Bradley Chair of Public Launch committee.


“To be able to bring these resources to East Mississippi, we’ll be able to walk along next to our parents, and our educators and our and the child’s whole circle of inclement to help inspire an ever-lasting joy in our children.” Said Liz Wilson Executive Director.
