The Meridian Housing Authority showed appreciation today to those who helped re-build The George Reese Courts complex.
The complex suffered major damage after from the April storm last year. City officials attended a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate.
There were over two million dollars in property damage from the e-f-2 tornado.Twenty-three families were relocated to other housing property.
“This community just wanted to tell the first responders, and everybody that came out and supported them on this day how much they just appreciate and support; that the George Reese Courts community received, so we’ re here today to celebrate first of all that we’ re grateful that we were able to survive the tornado.” Said Ronald Turner, Sr Executive Director for Meridian Housing Authority.
