Drowning in Neshoba county

September 6, 2017

A Leake county teenager drowned Sunday night while spending labor day weekend with friends at Lake Pushmataha in Neshoba county.

Officials say 15-year old Jerry Lee Triplett likely slipped off the pier and did not know how to swim.

The water where Triplett's body was found was about 18 feet deep.

The lake is on tribal land off highway 16 in the Pearl River community.
